Panini Cafe is a cafe, salad and sandwich shop at 503 River Ave. We sit in the middle of Lakewood, a short drive from most of the town. Vegetables are cut in the morning. Salads are tossed when your order comes in. Paninis are pressed to order. Soups are cooked in small batches through the day. Nothing sits under a heat lamp waiting for a customer. That is what fresh and tasty means in our kitchen.
We serve Lakewood and the towns around it. That includes Jackson, Toms River, Howell, Brick, Manchester and Freehold. We also run scheduled long distance routes. Those routes reach Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, Edison, Elkins Park, Scranton and Ventnor City. Food for those routes is packed cold and travels in insulated bags.

What we make fresh every day
Every group below is cooked or assembled in our own kitchen on River Ave. Prices and the full item list live on the menu page.
Breakfast and egg whites
Mornings start with eggs, egg whites and avocado toast. Eggs are cooked when you order. Avocado is mashed fresh, never scooped from a tub. Add a coffee and it travels well to the office.
Salads and poke style bowls
Garden salads, citrus salads, tuna salads and poke style bowls are built to order. Greens are washed and cut the same morning. Dressing goes on the side unless you ask otherwise, so nothing wilts on the way to you.
Paninis and wraps
Paninis are pressed hot when the ticket prints. Wraps are rolled to order with the same fillings. Creamy cheese, tuna, grilled vegetables and other favorites are all on the menu. Ask for extras and we will add them before pressing.
Soups
Soup is cooked in small batches through the day. That keeps it hot and tasty instead of sitting for hours. Flavors change with the day, so check the menu before you order.
Appetizers and sides
Popcorn cauliflower, buffalo poppers, cheese bonbons and pico de gallo are made in house. They work as a side for one person or as a shared starter for a table.
Catering platters
Wrap platters, salad bowls and hot trays are built for offices, schools and family events. Trays come in sizes for small meetings and for large crowds. Call ahead for big orders so we can plan the kitchen around you.
How it works
Ordering, delivery and hours
Ordering online
Pick your items from the menu and add them to the cart. Choose pickup or delivery at checkout. Pay by card on the same screen. Your order goes straight to our kitchen, so there is no middleman and no extra ordering app.
Same day cutoff
Same day orders close at 3:30 PM Eastern. We close the doors at 4:05 PM. That gap gives the kitchen time to cook and pack your food properly.
Order for a future date
You can pick a future date at checkout. This is the simple way to book an office lunch or a party tray in advance. For large catering, call us so we can confirm the timing.
Pickup at 503 River Ave
Pickup is free. Park on River Ave, walk in and give your name at the counter. Most orders are ready within minutes of the time we confirm.
Delivery in Lakewood
Local delivery covers Lakewood and the nearby streets. A flat delivery fee applies and is shown at checkout. Contact free delivery is available if you ask for it in the notes.
Long distance routes
Scheduled routes run to Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, Edison, Elkins Park, Scranton and Ventnor City. Each stop has its own fee and its own cutoff time. Both are shown when you choose your location at checkout.
